New York, The Statue of Liberty and Philadelphia

This time around we had some visitors. Cole and Jana came to visit and we took a day trip to Philadelphia. Good times.

Washington Square Park

The Statue of Liberty

Richie didn't appreciate the matching shirts but I only made us wear them for a few pictures.

Cole was super helpful when he was taking our pictures

We just discovered that we had a rooftop deck

Philly!

Independence Hall

The room where the Declaration of Independence was signed. Pretty amazing.

Napping on the tour bus

The steps Rocky made famous.

This is where the Liberty Bell is housed and this is as close as we got. The line was forever long and we were only there for a day.

Eastern State Penitentiary. One of the top 10 most haunted buildings in America. We got there too late to take a tour but even the entryway was creepy.

Benjamin Franklin's grave. People throw pennies on it and make a wish. They say the grave earns about $3000 a year.

Grand Central Station.

We took an Amtrak train to Philly and we happened to be there the day the freak storm rolled through the Midatlantic knocking out power and stopping trains. We were luckily able to take a different train to get back to New York but people were being stranded there. It made for an interesting trip home!
